Wolfe's Neck State Park Engagement | Kaila + Billy

I met Kaila + Billy at Wolfe's Neck State Park for their engagement shoot.. and what an incredible experience it was! The way Billy tenderly looks out for Kaila, and her beautiful caring eyes that look back at him melted my heart. These two are adventurers, college sweethearts and just as kind as can be. I cannot wait to photograph their wedding tomorrow at Marianmade Farm in Wiscasset!

PS-- how excited was I when they showed up with this sweet tandem bike?! No big deal... just another normal date night. :)

Hoboken Engagement | Heidi + Paul

I can't believe it's already end of July and that these two incredible people are getting married this weekend on Bailey Island. After spending some wonderful quality time with Heidi + Paul in Hoboken, NJ for their engagement shoot this Spring, we are bursting with excitement to celebrate with them tomorrow!! Hoorah!!

South Portland Maine Engagement | Joy + Ben

Joy + Ben are a brave and fun-loving couple. Last Fall we got together to celebrate their engagement in South Portland and around Willard Beach, where they often go to play with their pup, Ketchup. These two humans were awesome enough to let me in on some of their favorite ways to interact, connect, and authentically show love for one another. I smile every time I think back to those moments when they were able to let go, play, sit in the quiet, embrace, and connect. This, these moments, real people being people, is what drives me to continue documenting the beauty of the human condition.

If you haven't read Joy's powerful article on Cosmopolitan on the topic of name-changing after the wedding, I highly recommend it. I'm awed by and grateful for her story, and the story of so many others brave enough to share their light.
