The Mooring Bed and Breakfast in Georgetown, Maine hosted the perfect day on July 18th, 2015 for Ashlie + Todd to be married! With a feeling of home, breath-taking ocean views and the intimacy of a private residence, their venue was perfect for the day they planned with friends and family.
Ashlie + Todd's priority was spending time with their people-- to be outside, having fun and celebrating their marriage as they celebrate their love every day. It is rare to have such an abundance of good friends and close family that are as supportive as Ashlie + Todd's guests. They are loved by many.
Ashlie hand painted and lettered all of the little buoys as gifts for her guests, made and finished the wooden boxes for floral centerpieces, designed lawn game goals and beanbags and arranged a canoe to hold precisely the right amounts of ice and beverages... and was still able to have the best day ever.
This wedding was a beautiful mix of personalized nautical, romantic, and elegant details. A well-crafted setting for all involved to relax, enjoy good food and company, dance like there was no tomorrow! I had a blast and could not be more honored to have documented Ashlie + Todd's wedding celebration. <#

On July 11th, 2015, Chriki + Sam Harvell were married at Hardy Farm in Fryeburg, Maine! What a gorgeous day for such a wonderful couple to celebrate their love with family and friends. I swear, these two have the best smiles and their love and understanding of each other is beyond measure.
A vintage twist on rustic chic, Chriki + Sam's style was simultaneously elegant and colorful, contemporary and familiar. They picked wild flowers fresh from local fields and gardens and scattered them in vintage medicine bottles on table tops and in the barn and her bouquet by Susan Betz, of Bouquet or Blooms was simply jaw-dropping. They had two rockstar friends, Matt + Abby, help set up and style the intricate details Chriki spent months planning and crafting!
For dinner, everyone was seated at long tables and enjoyed a delicious pig roast and family style salads and side dishes by White Mountain Cider Co. Everything flowed and everyone was relaxed and having a wonderful time, including me!
Their vows were honest and sweet, filled with real promises and grounded confessions of love for each other. This is how and why Chriki + Sam are meant to be together for a very, very long time; they are a perfect duo!

Timeless and simple, Tim and Jeanine's Maine Wedding was one-hundred percent about their love and their people. They were married on Friday, October 10th, 2014 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in Scarborough followed by a fun-filled night of dancing and feasting at The Portland Club on State Street downtown Portland, Maine. The Black Tie Company provided an incredible meal of classic baked haddock and filet mignon for every guest... certainly my favorite meal of the season! A ride in a 1930's antique automobile post-ceremony and a sunset walk on Higgins Beach made for beautiful light and a wonderful time for portrait photographs to be made.
My favorite part of all was the Bridal Party. Tim and Jeanine enjoyed their day with Tim's younger brother and Jeanine's bright and beautiful niece. The four of them smiled, laughed and danced together the entire time. The joy was contagious and felt by every friend and family member in the room.
These two individuals are mentors and constant inspiration to both Michael and I. They are strong and successful individuals with a blossoming and healthy relationship that is rare... and beautiful. It was an honor to make photographs of their wedding celebration! Congratulations, Tim & Jeanine!
I can't even begin to tell you the joy Matt and Skye's wedding celebration brought me last Saturday, September 27, 2014. In addition to the perfect Fall weather, gorgeous Caswell Farm venue, killer performance by local musicians Tumbling Bones, colorful flowers by Fiddleheads Flowers and Vintage Chic Gifts and delicious local eats by Harvest Moon Pizza, this caring couple took time to play, laugh, eat, dance and sing with ALL of their family and friends.
From yard games and mustache mason jar glasses, to sweet wood-fired hand pies and bluegrass boot-stomping, participation levels and laughter filled the gaps between Caswell Farm's trees and fields. With the help of family and friends, the couple planned the celebration between rotations working in the Gulf of Mexico.
My favorite fact about Matt and Skye, and I think that this is important, is that the wedding was exactly what they wanted. While tradition certainly provided the bare bones of structure, the couple never feared to go beyond the traditional timeline and create space for family, love and a few moments alone here and there.
Skye even wore her glasses for Matt. He said he thought she was always stunningly beautiful how he saw her everyday, why change that for an event??
I could certainly go on and on about the impressive support system Matt and Skye have built just by being themselves, or the incredible collaboration of family, or the awesomeness that is the bond between all of the siblings involved, but I hope the photos can tell that best of all.
To Skye and Matt -- may your love be as solid and enduring as I witnessed last week. Thank you for for being you (and so much fun!!)!

Elegant, romantic and full of sass, Nate and Nova were married on Saturday, September 13th, 2014. It rained a little, but if you attended, you may never have known it, despite the open atmosphere. Nate and Nova were so much fun that weather was a minute part of the joyous occasion.
These two did it right. Nate and Nova completely embraced the authentic, rustic and organic venue. Their wedding details, colors, style, guests and happy attitude turned the farm into a whimsical retreat for all involved.
I can't tell you how refreshing their "ooey-sticky-goozing-over-the-top" love is. Sam, Nate's brother and best man, gave a speech that caught all of us, including me, bursting with laughter and in the middle of tears of happiness and hilariousness. I must give him credit for the newest addition to my "love descriptors" vocabulary (see above).
Nova's maid of honor, Nicole, was sweet and loyal. Her nervous words were encouraging, sincere and full of pride. They've been best friends, arguably sisters, since the beginning.
The locavore flavors and vendors show the couple's dedication to Portland and the local flare we have going here. Unique, fun, easy-going personalities meshed perfectly together. Dancing was an activity for all and seemed only the beginning of many fun times together with family and friends.
There is no doubt in my mind that these two are meant to be and that this is their time. The sweetest eye contact, the inside jokes, the support of all members of the family and the fact that the only tears shed on their wedding day in September were always accompanied by a smile.
All the very best to you both, Nate & Nova!!

Admittedly, I had already shared these few images of Lisbeth and Aubrey's August 23rd, 2014 Great Diamond Island Wedding with them before posting them to my blog. I spent almost four days with this power couple and their family and felt that I could not help but cherish their sweet and optimistic moments as if they were my own!
A unique, hand-made and authentic affair, Lisbeth and Aubrey's wedding was elegant and felt like home. I have never witnessed another couple put so much love and energy into creating a space so welcoming for their visitors, from the hospitality and true island living to hand-written... everything!
Truly, one of the most fun, engaging weddings thus far... Lisbeth has a passion for supporting small businesses and was sure to hire friends and family, such as myself for photography and Bryan Leary and his awesome crew for the feast!
As I spent time and shared conversation with Lisbeth and Aubrey's family, I was enamored with the stories of their upbringings, friends and families. I am not kidding when I say the entire happy gaggle of friends and family shared responsibilities and tasks.
The willing nature and force of crew confirmed every speculation about the couple's commitment to being the best friends and relatives anyone could wish for! I strongly believe that you reap what you sow, and these two were receiving so much of the love and support they had previously given.
Congratulations, Lisbeth and Aubrey! I'm so grateful to have been able to bear witness to your love and celebration! Woohoo!

Larry and Katelyn Lawson are of the loveliest types of people. They were married on June 27th, 2014, in Katelyn's grandmother's backyard in Brunswick, Maine. Their long-time family friend and neighbor, the reverend, officiated the ceremony. The rest of the special day was put on by family members and friends, from the decorations, to the flowers gathered from their own gardens, to the the feast on the grill and in steamers.
I have known Katelyn since we were at least 6 years old and I have to say, she is still one of the loveliest people I have ever met. She is consistently sweet, caring, giving and has a shy smile that will melt anyone's heart. Congratulations, Larry, she is incredible. I have no doubt that you two will make a very happy family. The teary and beaming look on your face when she walked down the aisle assured me that your love goes both ways.
I could not be happier for the both of you!
To many years of smiling and reminiscing on this beautiful, sunny day in June of 2014. My blessings to you both... and the little one on the way! :)
