To think that these two stunning individuals did not know each other before they showed up at Domaines des Patras in Provence on April 27th is incredible. These models, these real (and particularly beautiful) people were brave. The wind was gusting and despite the sunshine, we were all wearing coats... all but our beautiful bride. The groom, tall and handsome, took her under his arms to try to keep her warm in between poses and moments. That was my favorite. Watching two strangers relate, interact and become intimate is the same reason I love photographing people in love.
It's the human condition to care for and nurture one another. It is exactly those subtle movements, gestures, laughter and sighs that keep me alive and immersed in my work... even on a beautifully sunny day in France.
This is some of my work from one of three beautiful shoots at the Light Workshop by Greg Finck in Provence, France in April. I adored working with Kerry and Jennifer of Lavender & Rose Weddings. Not only were they both rockstars, but their vision for styling this intimate, elegant and romantic ceremony blew me away.
